MaxLinear Ethernet Transceivers (PHY)
MaxLinear Ethernet Transceivers (PHY) provide increased speed through enhanced broadband access networks. These transceivers feature 2.5Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) that increases the bandwidth without changing cables and consumes less power than 5GbE or 10GbE. The GPY21x devices include interoperability for NBaseT and the new IEEE 802.3bz standard. These transceivers support Auto-Down Speed (ADS), auto-crossover correction, and supports Power-over-Ethernet (POE). The GPY21x transceivers are configurable through pin strapping, MDIO interface, and external flash. These transceivers are available in a single-row VQFN-56 package and feature a programmable thermal sensor to monitor the temperature. The GPY21x transceivers are used in applications such as wired networking, enterprise projectors, industrial transport, medical imaging, ultrasound smart probe, and X-ray systems.
